Katie is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Florida in 2010 and worked in the pediatric intensive care unit until 2015, when she received a dual master’s degree in nursing in pediatric acute and primary care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining the Pure Aesthetics team, she worked at UF Health for 9 years and at Gainesville Pediatric Associates for 3 years. Katie helped countless mothers and their babies through their breastfeeding relationship as a board certified lactation consultant. It was during this time that she realized her passion for supporting these mothers and strived to encourage them to feel their best during this rewarding but difficult time.
Her new found love for aesthetics began to flourish as she realized just how important it is to invest in self care for yourself. This observation had such a positive reflection on the health of her patients, their parents, families and even in herself! Allowing self care can drastically change all aspects of one’s overall health and well being. She longed to be able to provide knowledge to men and women to look and feel their absolute best not only on the inside but also on the outside.
Katie is also a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and owner of Muscle Farm gym in Jonesville, Florida, that her and her husband have owned since 2010. Together they have three children and love being active, outdoors, and spending time together.
